A 100-pound tortoise has been found safe and sound after wandering more than a mile from his New Jersey home.
Sulley had been missing for five days when a motorist spotted him and called state police, NJ.com reports.
Volunteer firefighters and a search and rescue team searched for several hours on Thursday, 10 September - but to no avail.
As it turns out, Sulley had travelled over a mile away from home. According to his owner, Laura Roerig, he escaped from his garden enclosure while she was at church.
Much to her relief, he is now back home safely, though she says he will not be returning to his backyard enclosure until it's repaired. "He's in time out," she told NJ.com.
