No Lawyers for Animals in Switzerland
Switzerland has some of the strictest legislation in the world relating to animal welfare, but recent proposals to introduce state-funded lawyers to stand for animals in court have been rejected.
Laws in place already in Switzerland mean that social animals such as goldfish, pigs and budgies cannot be kept alone, dog owners have to take training courses and animals such as horses and cows must be given regular exercise.



The Greyhound Board of Great Britain has published new vaccination guidance, with all greyhounds registered from 1 January, 2027 required to have the L4 leptospirosis vaccination, rather than L2.
