Pet Pictures Win Prizes
This image of Monty, taken by owner Adam Godfrey, won first prize.
Congratulations to the winners of this year’s Petsavers photo competition. The theme for this year’s competition was ‘Pets we love’, and was designed to celebrate the pets we cherish and love as members of our family.

The photography competition was open to all UK and Ireland residents who are amateur photographers, including pet owners, vets and veterinary nurses. Entrants were judged in two categories: adults - 16 and over and Junior which is below 16.

Adam Godfrey from Devon won first prize in this years adult category. His photo (pictured above) shows Monty, his 3 year old Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla, running on the moors. Second and third prize in the adult category went to Jayne Finlay from Lancashire and Sam Barclay from Surrey.

Maddie Sims won first prize in the junior category.
In the junior category, Maddie Sims from Essex won first prize with the picture shown right. She says: “I live on Mersea Island and Harvey is my friend’s dog who comes to stay for his holiday. I love the way he gets excited on the beach and jumps the breakwaters, while looking so proud with his toy. He is such a lovely dog!”
Second and third prize in the junior category went to Daisy Fermont from Wilstone and India Sparacia from East Sussex.
