A Beautiful Kill
James Faulkner has used the feathers, furs and wings of a variety of animals such as foxes, rabbits, magpies, peacocks and pheasants killed on the road to make a selection of hats. These hats will be exhibited at Telford College in Edinburgh on May 14th.
He says that the idea stemmed from trying to make something beautiful from something sad.



Livestock keepers are being urged to stay vigilant for Bluetongue (BTV-3) following confirmation of the disease in a ewe. The case, confirmed in Staffordshire on 23 June 2026, represents the first confirmed case of infection this summer.
