Mass duck herding causes chaos
A Chinese city ground to a halt recently as a local farmer herded 5000 ducks through the town centre in an effort to drive them to a nearby pond.
Onlookers stared in amazement as the farmer and his helpers guided the birds through the streets of Taizhou city, in east China's Zhejiang province, to reach the pond in the search for food.
Traffic was stopped in its trackers and pedestrians forced to scramble out of the way as thousands of ducks surged past.
The farmer, however, claims he regularly takes his ducks through the city and, despite the vast number, has never yet lost one.
