Don't forget to book for LVS
Delegates urged to book for London Vet Show

The London Vet Show is returning to Olympia this November for two days of high quality CPD, and would-be delegates are encouraged to take advantage of their low rates. 1500 veterinary professionals have already registered for what promises to be a fantastic event.

This year’s show will deliver three streams of clinical CPD programmed by the Royal Veterinary College and led by Jill Maddison. Delegate feedback from last year has also been taken into account and theatres will be significantly larger this year to cater for all the attendees.

The line-up will include business lectures, sponsor-led seminars, practical workshops and association-led education sessions.

Also new for this year will be the introduction of the BVA Careers Fair, following the new partnership between the British Veterinary Association (BVA) and LVS. In addition, BVA members can enjoy a further 10% discount from the registration fee.

The London Vet Show will take place on the 15th and 16th November and will cost just £199 +VAT.

RCVS annual renewal fee for vets due

RCVS' annual renewal fee for veterinary surgeons is now due. Vets must pay their renewal fee before Wednesday, 1 April 2026.

This year's standard annual fee has increased to 431 from last year's 418. This is an approximately three per cent increase, as approved by RCVS Council and the Privy Council.

Tshidi Gardner, RCVS treasurer, said: "The small fee increase will be used to help deliver both our everyday activities and our new ambitious Strategic Plan, which includes aims such as achieving new legislation, reviewing the Codes of Professional Conduct and supporting guidance, and continuing to support the professions through activities such as the Mind Matters Initiative, RCVS Academy and career development."

A full breakdown of the new fees is on the RCVS website. Information about tax relief is available on the UK government website.
