AHVLA releases a further SBV update
The Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency have released another update concerning the number of recorded cases of SBV on farms in the UK.
Currently, GB testing results indicate the Schmallenberg virus is present on 276 farms: 53 farms are in cattle, 220 in sheep, and 3 premises which reported sheep earlier in the year and are now also reporting cattle cases.
These figures are correct as of the 25th July 2012 and a breakdown of cases in each county can be found here.



The Greyhound Board of Great Britain has published new vaccination guidance, with all greyhounds registered from 1 January, 2027 required to have the L4 leptospirosis vaccination, rather than L2.
