Another travelling pet...a ferret from London has recently made headlines after catching a train all the way to Edinburgh. He is currently being cared for by the Scottish RSPCA and the charity is hoping its owner will come forward soon. Read more on the BBC here.

A recently published article on the Daily Mail announced the fact that in America "Firefighters and paramedics are now trained to give first aid and CPR to family pets - including ferrets, hamsters and gerbils." The news comes after one dog trainer saved the life of a boxer with CPR earlier this month.

A quirky story on the Daily Mail entitled 'Not time for walkies... because pet dog is allergic to GRASS (and he's a vegetarian)', looks at Guinesscan - a Staffordshire bull terrier who's allergic to grass, lamb, wheat and beef. Staff at the Blue Cross charity in Bromsgrove are trying to find a home for him but have so far struggled.
